I love this place. The food is great and the service is excellent. The atmosphere here is that of a homely, family-owned restaurant. If you live near here or are even just making a short trip, I would definitely recommend a visit.

We came here on an especially busy Friday night in the sunset and waited 1+ hour to get seated (there was a paper waitlist). Despite that, the servers were friendly, understanding, and on top of everything. They even patiently answered several (hungry) people's questions about the waitlist time.

I ordered a spicy beef noodle soup with hand pulled noodles and a chives pancake. The hand-pulled noodles were so delicious, and the numbing spicy was a perfect touch. The beef was plentiful. The chives pancakes were also some of my favorite I've gotten from a restaurant - the wrapper was not too thick, and the filling was just right. All the dishes were well-priced and delicious.

There are several tables inside, but the space is overall not huge, which definitely contributes to a longer wait time. My food came out within 5 minutes though!

I don't know if I'd wait that long again to eat here (every spot within a couple of blocks was packed this day!), but I will definitely be returning to eat these dishes again!

Not sure why this place doesn't have higher reviews! My husband & I both grew up with homemade Chinese cooking and we LOVE this place -- especially for their homemade noodles. Must try:

- beef noodle soup (spicy if you like a kick and with beef tendon if you prefer a chewier texture)
- master greens noodle soup (with pork; you feel healthy eating those mustard greens with your yummy chewy noodles)
- XO beef chow fun (my husband loves this)
- garlic pea shoots or green beans
- spicy beef tendon (once again you have to like tendon but these have the best sauce and are thinly sliced)
- XLB/dumplings
- homemade hot sauce (already on the table) -- careful, this is truly a hot sauce
- mango sago if you haven't tried this before and want to finish with something sweet
... you probably can't go wrong with anything on the menu though.

Seems family-owned. Service is great! No frills so don't come here for an IG photo shoot. Come hungry.

Great noodles.  Flavorful spicy broth. Succulent beefy morsels.  Very friendly staff. Enjoy!

My recommendations here are the beef tendon noodle soup and Bean paste with dry noodles. I found I prefer the soup for the beef tendon more than the beef stew.

Food: pretty good, soup dumplings were not amazing, noodles were good, the tea was watered down (but it was free!!!).

Service: friendly, efficient.

Ambiance: small, nothing fancy.

This is my favorite restaurant in San Francisco! It's the kind of place that you can just keep coming back to. Good food, good price, good portions, and consistent. My favorites are the fresh noodle with pork and master greens, beef noodle soup, and pork shrimp and chives dumplings. The dumplings and noodles are handmade so would definitely recommend trying them. I don't usually go for the wok items or pancakes but I'm sure they're good too.

The noodles are honestly so good that even after finding a bug in the soup one time (they were very nice about it and comped the bowl) I still went back several times since (no bugs).

One of my favorite noodle shops in San Francisco due to their XO Wok Dishes.

Nice location that has a better chance of parking due to the lack of other merchants on the block. I opt for the Chow Fun & Chow Mein that has always been yummy, though I did add some extra XO Soy Sauce that I bought at 99 Ranch in Daly City,
The prices are very reasonable, the orders quickly prepared, and the staff polite. My order of Beef Chow Fun was Great.

I will continue coming back.
